My name is Claire and welcome to 'the honest shopoholic' community!
This passion project of mine was built from sharing stories with girlfriends and realizing there may be a whole group of mothers/women out there who could relate to my life experiences and benefit from my love of shopping.
My Story
Hi there! I am a proud mom to two amazing Autistic children who light up my world with their unique brilliance and boundless love. I am so grateful for both of my children having ASD, as they teach me new things every day! My adult life has been marked by OCD and ADHD diagnoses, making me a neurodivergent individual too.
I have had nine and a half years of unwavering sobriety to guide me during life's ups and downs.
Furthermore, I am also a survivor of the BRCA2 gene mutation. My fallopian tubes were removed in 2021, and in 2022, I underwent a double mastectomy. The date of my upcoming oophorectomy is still pending.
Due to the fact that I have a tendency to shop impulsively, I have accumulated a bank of product knowledge as a result.
I think that's a fair summary of my life, but I find my passion lies in the art of storytelling, which I cherish as much as the products I test on a daily basis.
